Claim Your Agent Profile

If you are a registered Ontario real estate professional working in Markham, you can claim your profile on this site. Claiming is free. It lets you correct your details, add your RECO registration number, set your service areas and respond publicly to reviews.

Claiming does not buy you a position. Ranked order comes entirely from the published formula. Completing your profile improves one of the six components, profile completeness, because a more transparent profile is more useful to the public. Nothing else about claiming affects where you appear.

How verification works

  1. Brokerage email. Submit the form using an email address at your brokerage domain. We send a confirmation link to that address. Click it and the claim is verified automatically.
  2. Manual verification. If you do not have a brokerage domain address, select manual verification. We will ask for your RECO registration number and check it against the public RECO registrant record, then contact you to complete the claim.
  3. Edit your profile. Once verified you can update your bio, photo, languages, specialties, service areas and contact details, and respond to any review on your profile.

Common questions from agents

Does claiming my profile improve my ranking?

Not directly, and never through payment. Claiming lets you complete your profile, and profile completeness is one of the six published ranking components. Filling in your RECO number, languages, specialties and service areas will raise that one component. Nothing about the act of claiming, or any payment, moves you up the list.

Can I remove a review I do not like?

No. Agents cannot delete reviews. You can respond publicly to any review, and responding counts toward the response rate component of the ranking whether you are replying to praise or to criticism. If you believe a review breaches our guidelines, use the dispute process and we will assess it against the published criteria.

How do you verify that the profile is mine?

The fastest route is an email address at your brokerage domain, which we verify by sending a confirmation link to that address. If you do not have one, choose manual verification and we will ask you for your RECO registration number and confirm it against the public RECO registrant record before granting access.

What happens to my contact details?

The details you submit are used to verify your identity and to contact you about your profile. Consent to contact is separate and optional, and you can withdraw it at any time. See our privacy policy for how we handle personal information under PIPEDA.
